Ara Thomassian | Remastering WTR for HD
We are excited to bring you our conversation with Senior Colorist, Ara Thomassian, per his recent recoloring and conversion of Walker, Texas Ranger to HD!
Raised in Los Angeles, Ara has over a decade of experience in color grading and is a member of the Colorist Society International. His journey into color began while studying the Italian painter Caravaggio and his stunning use of contrast and shadows to communicate an entire story in a single image. Ara’s recent credits include the documentaries Women in the Front Seat and Zero Gravity, while his additional color credits span such diverse titles as Empire, Bosch, Next, American Horror Story, What We Do In The Shadows, and the Deadwood movie. When not working, Ara enjoys watching Paul Thomas Anderson movies, engaging in competitive obstacle course races, and giving nonstop piggyback rides to his daughter.
